Italy By Flight - 5 Days

Day 01: UK – Rome (100kms)
Today, you meet your Tour Director at the airport, where your flight tickets will be given to you. After checking in and clearing necessary security and immigration, you board the flight to Rome. Upon arrival in you visit the Colosseum from outside which was used for gladiatorial and public spectacles, capable of seating around 50,000 spectators, a symbol of Rome. Check into the hotel for the next two nights.

Day 02: Rome City Walking Tour (50kms)
After breakfast, you commence by visiting the Vatican City, the world's smallest nation & the seat of Christianity and St. Peter's Basilica, the world's largest cathedral, which will amaze you with its size, beauty and splendour. Visit Piazza Venezia; monument dedicated to Victor Emmanuel II, the first king of Italy. Relieve the thrills of historic Rome as you view the ancient Roman & Imperial Forums. Also see the famous Navona Piazza & Pantheon, Spanish steps and Trevi Fountain - a Roman legend assures your return to Rome if you throw a coin over your left shoulder into the fountain.

Day 03: Rome – Pisa – Florence (450kms)

Today after early breakfast, you drive to Pisa, the hometown of Galileo and a city, which makes the most of its claim to fame - Leaning Tower of Pisa! (Photo stop) and the Duomo's (Cathedral) Bell Tower. Continue driving to Florence, the enchanting art capital of Italy. Upon arrival in Florence, you’ll embark on walking tour to visit the birth place of the Renaissance; see the impressive Duomo, the imposing 14th century Palazzo Vecchio Tower, Ufizi Gallery from outside and Ponte Vecchio - Florence's most distinctive bridge on the Arno River. Later in the evening visit the Piazelle Michelangelo, for a breath taking bird's eye view of Florence.

Day 04: Florence – Venice (230kms)
Today after breakfast you drive down to Venice, the romantic Italian City, known for its unique architecture. You will drive over Mussolini's Bridge of Liberty and then take a water-bus over the Guidecca canal to St. Mark's Square, the very heart of Venice. Here you will see the historic Ducal Palace, the infamous prison, the bridge of sighs, the exquisite Clock Tower and the baroque splendour of St. Marks Basilica. You will also visit the Murano Glass factory, where a master craftsman will demonstrate the art of creating the famous Venetian blowing glass. Later return to St. Marks Square and soak in the unique atmosphere of this charming city.

Day 05: Venice – Verona - Milan (300kms)

This morning, you head towards Milan, one of the world’s capital of design and fashion. Along the way you visit the famous town of Verona, to view the balcony of Romeo and Juliet. (from outside) and the well preserved Roman Amphitheatre used regularly for the annual opera fair. Later continue towards Milan. Upon arrival explore the historic centre of the city - see the famous Duomo (Cathedral), one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Italy, La Scala Opera House (from outside) and the Castello Sforzesco. Later, you depart for the airport for your flight back to London.
