Day 1: Colombo city tour
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport. Transfer to your colonial hotel in Colombo. In the afternoon information regarding the tour followed by a welcome cocktail, and afterwards make a city tour of Colombo, which includes Fort, Pettah, the Gangarama temple, a Museum and the Town Hall. Overnight at hotel in Colombo.

Day 2: Aukana-Mihintale-Anuradhapura
After breakfast, you leave for Anuradhapura (a World Heritage Site), the first capital and undoubtedly the grandest city of the ancient Sri Lanka. We visit Brazen Palace - 1600 stone columns, the remains of a magnificent multi-storied residence for monks. Ruwanweliseya - famous of all the Dagobas and the Isurumuniya rock temple and also known for its rock carvings. En route you stop at Aukana to see thetallest Buddha Statue of Sri Lanka. Visit Mihintale, The Cradle of Buddha the town where Buddhism first overwhelmed the people of Sri Lanka. Overnight at hotel in Anuradhapura.

Day 3: Sigiriya-Harbarana
In the morning climb the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress which is a world heritage site, known as The ‘Lion Rock’. Visit the world renowned frescos of the ‘Heavenly Maidens’ of Sigiriya. Optional safarion an elephant to the jungle at Habarana. Evening walk through a village to discover day to day life style. Overnight at hotel in the Cultural Triangle Area.

Day 4: Polonnaruwa-Medirigiriya
After breakfast, leave for Polonnaruwa. You visit the ruins of the Royal Palace, Gal Viharaya where the splendid statues of the Budha and of king Parakumbahu. Here are also monuments of famous places of worship such as the Shiva Temple, Lankathilake, Watadage, Galpotha, Kiri Vehera and the remains of a former Temple of the Tooth Relic. Enjoy a Cycle Tour at ancient city of Polonnaruwa. En route visit toMedirigiriya Ruins. Evening free to relax. Overnight stay in the Cultural Triangle area.

Day 5: Dambulla-Matale-Kandy
Breakfast at hotel, visit Dambulla rock temple - world heritage site, and the most impressive of Sri Lanka’s cave temples - caves with over 2000 sq. meters of painted walls and ceilings containing 150 images of the Buddha. You head towards Kandy. En route stop at Matale to see a Hindu temple, visit to a Sri Lankan School, a batik factory to and a spice garden to see different spices, and how some of these spices are grown and processed. Later in the evening visit to the temple of tooth, followed by experience a show of cultural Performers. Overnight at hotel in Kandy.

Day 6: Kandy-Pinnawela-Kandy
After breakfast, proceed to Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans. Now its home for over 65 elephants and babies. Afternoon you visit Embekka, wood carving temple & Gadaladeniya, stone carving temple. Later visit Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. Evening enjoy the city tour of Kandy. Visits to Gem Museum, Upper Lake, Arts & Crafts Centre, and explore the Kandy bazaar on your own. Overnight at hotel in Kandy.

Day 7: Kandy-Nanuoya-Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya, known as “Little England”. Journey by train between Kandy and Nanu-oya. Visit the tea plantation and a tea factory. Where the best tea in the world is produced. Observe the process of manufacturing tea, tea grading and taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea. Overnight at Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 8: Horton Plains
Enjoy your breakfast in the misty climate of the hill country and leave for visit Horton Plains, better known as the “World’s End”. Enjoy the nature rich area. Evening make the city tour of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.

Day 9: Yale National Park-Tissamaharama
Leave for Tissamaharama in the afternoon, while visiting Rawana Ella Water Fall en route. Afternoon make a safari in Yala National Park. Overnight in Kataragama / Yala.

Day 10: Kataragamahummanaya-Koggala-Hikkaduwa
Morning visit to Kataragama temple. Later head towards south-west coast. Travel through Tangalle andMatara. En route visit the “Blowhole” at Hummanaya and the ancient Buddhist temple at Weherahena. InKoggala see the stilt fishermen seated on poles mounted. In Galle visit to Old Dutch Fort. In Hikkaduwamake a tour in a glass-bottom boat to see the impressive underwater corals. Visit moonstone mines atMeetiyagoda. Transfer to airport for onward flight .
